Edwin Lynch's Legacy

Edwin Lynch may not have been a very famous man, but he was influential in his own right. From fighting for civil rights in a political environment to anti-war protests to helping students change the world one conflict at a time, he made an impact on the world around him. He put as much effort as possible into changing views and policies that he felt were unjust, and he wanted others to have the chance to do the same.

Edwin Lynch’s legacy will not only live on through his children and grandchildren but also through the things that he accomplished while alive. He worked for voting rights, equal education, and peacebuilding studies. He gave scholarships to students who wanted to study at a higher level. He worked with many organizations that are dedicated to bettering the lives of individuals. He helped set up one of the best conflict resolution schools in the nation. Possibly his greatest contribution and influence was the donation of his home to George Mason University for students and professionals alike to further the research and practice of conflict resolution. With the donation of his home, he has assisted the future of peacebuilding and conflict resolution for many years to come.
